SMALL FEEL GOOD THINGS YOU CAN DO DAILY TO INCREASE HEALTH & HAPPINESS!

THE SOMETIMES TOUGH, SOMETIMES TEDIOUS  HABITS YOU DEVELOP AND PERFORM DAILY ARE THE ONES THAT MOVE THE NEEDLE.

Social media tends to show everyone at their best.  Doing what they want everyone to think they're doing daily...

Awesome pics of them getting in that ONE great workout, when that's the only one they've done in a month.

That gorgeous pic of a healthy, home cooked meal, when they've eaten takeout loaded with extra fat and calories the entire week.

The bike ride or run that happens once a month.

You get the idea.

These are all great visuals, but what are you doing when no one is looking?

  What small but impactful habits do you perform consistently? 

Studies show the most successful people perform the same body, soul and mind strengthening activities daily.

Here are some examples:

-20-30 min of walking daily

-Strength training twice a week without fail

-10 min of quiet, mindful meditation upon waking.  Some great free apps include INSIGHT TIMER and CALM.  Listen to motivating speakers, guided meditations, calming music or just sounds from nature. The perfect way to start your day!

-Filling a large water bottle (64 oz) daily and finishing it!

-Prepping nutritious food for the day!  You can even start with just one meal daily.  Grab a cottage cheese or yogurt with fresh fruit. Make a protein shake the night before and grab it on your way out the door.  Make extra at dinner and pack away for your lunch the following day.

-Reading 10 pages daily from a non-fiction book.  Feed the mind with someone else's motivating life experience or learn something new in your field or about something you've always been interested in.  

THE TRICK IS TO DO THESE THINGS DAILY.  WITHOUT FAIL. NO EXCUSES.  MAKE THEM PART OF YOUR LIFE.

These small, not so complicated ways of feeding your body and spirit go a long way.
